Sustainability Report 2025

Transparency is not a checkbox for us, it's a commitment. Today, we're publishing our 2025 sustainability report, certified through Miljøfyrtårn (Eco-Lighthouse), Norway's leading certification scheme for businesses committed to reducing their environmental footprint.

Earning and maintaining this certification means we hold ourselves accountable not just internally, but against a nationally recognised standard. The report covers our climate accounts, working environment, procurement practices, and the social impact of our digital products. Below is a summary of what we've done, what the numbers say, and where we're headed.

Why This Report Matters

Sustainability reporting is increasingly expected of technology companies and for good reason. Digital products consume energy, influence supply chains, and shape how communities access services. A formal report forces an organisation to look honestly at its own footprint and commit to measurable improvement. For Daxap, this process is also a strategic one: we want our partners, clients, and future collaborators to know exactly what we stand for and how we operate.

What We Focused on in 2025

Our work this year was structured around four material areas:

Climate & Environment

We focused on reducing our energy footprint through green coding practices, use of energy-efficient data centres, and optimising how we store and process data. Our Scope 2 emissions — from purchased electricity — came in at just 0.09 t CO₂e, reflecting a deliberate choice to operate lean in the cloud. The majority of our Scope 3 emissions relate to business travel, which we continue to manage through digital-first meeting practices.

Working Environment

We completed ergonomic reviews of all workstations, reinforced our flexible and remote-work culture, and maintained a strong focus on psychosocial wellbeing. First aid training and a formalised crisis management plan were also put in place this year.

Responsible Procurement

We established structured routines for supplier evaluation before any purchase — assessing environmental impact, energy use, and working conditions as part of every procurement decision. We believe that responsible purchasing is one of the most direct levers a company has over its extended footprint.

Social Impact Through Technology

Our Vibori platform, deployed in Melhus municipality, reached over 1,500 mobile users and logged more than 16,000 app visits in 2025. The platform supports civic participation and community inclusion — a concrete example of how technology, when built with purpose, can strengthen social infrastructure rather than simply digitise it.

The Numbers at a Glance

Indicator Value
Total emissions (Scope 2 + 3) 8.8 t CO₂e
Energy emissions (Scope 2) 0.09 t CO₂e
Value chain emissions (Scope 3) 8.71 t CO₂e
Vibori mobile users (Melhus) 1,500+
Vibori app visits (Melhus) 16,000+

Our Priorities Going into 2026

We're honest about where we still have work to do. Measuring and documenting the environmental and social effects of our digital services more rigorously is a clear priority. In the coming period, we will focus on:

  • Green coding: Further developing energy-efficient development practices across all our products.
  • Sustainable procurement: Strengthening supplier requirements and expanding the scope of our evaluation criteria.
  • Inclusive digital tools: Continuing to build solutions that promote participation, accessibility, and community engagement.
  • Impact measurement: Improving how we document and communicate the environmental and social effects of our work.

Sustainability at Daxap is not a separate initiative — it's embedded in how we make decisions, choose partners, and build products. We'll keep reporting openly, because accountability only means something when it's visible.
