- Log Your Day
Start the morning by recording how you slept. End the evening by reflecting on your stress levels, movement, rest, daily activity, and pain.
- Calendar
Everything you log is stored in a calendar that gives you a clear overview of your patterns. The goal is to help you find your personal balance — and understand what gives you more good days. The calendar also tracks other factors that may influence your daily life.
- Dialogue
Helfi can be used in communication with NAV through a detailed activity diary. A validated diagnostic questionnaire is also included. In future versions, Helfi will also support sharing with family and friends.

Overview
Accept, control, and balance. Helfi is a clear and engaging digital companion designed for everyone living with fibromyalgia. Built to be as user-friendly as possible, Helfi helps patients maintain balance in their daily lives by bringing the most important aspects of disease management together in one place — from daily reminders for symptom tracking to activity logging. The app also gives users a simple, emoji-assisted summary of how their day went.
Challenges
Fibromyalgia is a complex and invisible condition that affects every patient differently. But one common thread runs through all experiences: the need to accept lifestyle changes in order to gain control over symptoms. Research shows that maintaining balance between activity, rest, sleep, and stress is essential for reducing pain and improving quality of life.
Solutions
Helfi is built around three core pillars: acceptance, control, and balance. Accepting a diagnosis doesn't mean letting it define you — it means finding the tools to live well with fibromyalgia. Helfi helps users find that balance across sleep, activity, rest, and stress, with daily prompts to log symptoms and activities. By giving users a clearer picture of how these factors affect their health, the app puts them back in control of their condition.
Outcomes
Research on fibromyalgia still has significant gaps — and Helfi aims to help change that by offering anonymized data collected through the app. The existing evidence does suggest that balance matters: when activity and rest, sleep and stress are kept in check, pain levels can decrease and users report feeling genuinely better.
